Our new 35-cover breakfast, brunch and lunch spot is located at 129 South Street, fittingly, next door to The Adamson restaurant and cocktail bar.
The casual restaurant offers an all-day menu, serving fresh food that’s as nutritious as it is Instagrammable. Aimed at those pursuing a healthy lifestyle (most of the time), NEXT DOOR’s creative menu will be light, natural and invigorating – with plenty of plant-powered alternatives.
NEXT DOOR aims to attract hungry Millennials and tap into the growing trend of rolling out of bed and heading straight out for breakfast and brunch, or having an innovative, casual lunch. The ‘go-healthy’ restaurant will also feature a range of herbal teas, smoothies & juices as well as coffee and stronger options.
Open from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Sunday, NEXT DOOR will also be a great venue for private dining from 7pm, accommodating groups of 12 and over, with a bespoke menu and extensive cocktail & drinks experience. You can find more information about NEXT DOOR at

In 1984, a top model came into Dick Bradsell’s bar, with a special request and the famous Espresso Martini was born.
Garnished with a few coffee beans, the Espresso Martini is a sophisticated little devil – and is this month’s Cocktail of the Month.
The Adamson signature combination includes Mr Black Cold Press Coffee Liqueur mixed with Belvedere Vodka & Espresso. Priced at £9.95, this is a fantastic tipple to round off your evening.

Both the Adamson restaurant and cocktail bar have been transformed into a lighter and brighter eatery after significant refurbishment & design by Hen & Crask.
The space has a more stylish and contemporary look with bright colours in the restaurant and a new feature entrance wall in the cocktail bar.

Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year for couples everywhere and here at the Adamson, we have the ideal setting for you and your loved one to celebrate the occasion.
We have designed a special Veuve Cliquot sharing menu for the evening where you can enjoy king prawn & chorizo: pepper & hazelnut romesco, chateaubriand 500g: green beans, creamed spinach, watercress salad & mash/hand cuts chips & a choice of sauce & chocolate ganache: coco nib mousse, praline, salted caramel & vanilla ice cream.
The meal with a glass of champagne is priced at £60 per person and at £85 per person for a bottle.

Cocktail’s Galore

The Adamson is very well known for our mouthwatering cocktails and this February, we invite you to try some new ‘Doctor’s Orders’ from only £5, such as Bounty Hunter with coconut rum & lime or a refreshing Watermelon Martini. Guests are also having tremendous fun with our cocktail trees, featuring 9 Signature cocktails for £60 or 9 Doctor’s Orders for £40.
The cocktail bar is open late every weekend and with LIVE DJ’s, we provide the perfect venue for your night out in St Andrews.

January Opening Times

We wish all of our guests a very happy and healthy 2019!

In January, the Restaurant, Bar & Ski Lodge will be closed from the 7th until the 23rd for a refurbishment and we look to welcome you back to the new look Adamson.

The Restaurant & Bar will re-open on the 24th of January.

The building next door will continue to be developed and will open in early February.
